BowPro Privacy Policy
1. Who We Are

2. What BowPro Does
BowPro is an archery scoring application. It lets you record rounds and training sessions, save history, view statistics, manage bows, arrows, sight marks, and create or restore backups.
3. Information You Enter In The App
BowPro stores information you enter directly, including:
- profile information such as name, gender, age category, governing body, and default bow style
- bow setups, arrow sets, sight marks, and shooting locations
- saved scores, round details, training details, distances, face types, notes, and timestamps
- arrow plotting coordinates
- timing data for ends and sessions
- backup and restore metadata
This information is stored locally on your device as part of the app database and any backup files you choose to create.
4. Imports, Backups, Exports, And Sharing
BowPro can import data from BowPro backup ZIP files and MyTargets backup ZIP files.
BowPro can also create backup ZIP files and export or share PDFs or other files through your device share sheet.
If you choose to create, import, restore, export, or share files, that data may be copied to files you store outside the app or sent to destinations you select through Android sharing features.
5. Analytics And Crash Reporting
BowPro uses Firebase services for crash reporting via Firebase Crashlytics and optional product analytics via Firebase Analytics.
Release builds may send crash and diagnostic information needed to investigate app failures.
Analytics collection stays off until you enable Share anonymous analytics
in Settings. If you enable it, BowPro will send limited event data such
as app opens, round starts and completions, backup creation and
restoration, and Premium screen opens.
6. Premium And Purchase Data
BowPro includes Premium-related features.
If Premium purchase flows are enabled, Google Play may process purchase and restore information under Google Play's own terms and privacy practices.
If Premium trial validation is enabled in a future production configuration, BowPro may send a minimal validation payload such as a hashed device or app install identifier, platform name, and app version or related validation metadata. This is used only to validate Premium access during a free trial.
7. Permissions And Network Use
The Android app currently declares internet access.
BowPro also uses Android share and open flows for actions you request, such as emailing a PDF or choosing backup files.
BowPro does not request location permission for scoring. It may add this in future for weather-related features.
8. How Your Data Is Stored
BowPro is designed as a local-first app.
Your scoring history, kit information, and settings are kept on your device unless you choose to share or export a file, restore or import a file, enable analytics, or use a network-backed Premium validation or purchase path.
9. How Long Data Is Kept
Data stored locally remains on your device until you delete it, uninstall the app, or overwrite it through restore or import operations.
Analytics and crash data sent to third-party services may be retained under those providers' standard retention practices.
10. Your Choices
- choose whether to enable anonymous analytics
- edit or delete local app data inside the app where the feature exists
- create your own backups
- remove the app from your device
Uninstalling the app does not remove backups or exported files you have saved elsewhere.
11. Children
BowPro is not specifically directed at children. If you are responsible for a junior archer's data, please review and control what information is entered, shared, or backed up.
12. Changes To This Policy
This policy may be updated as BowPro moves from beta to production or as app features change. The latest published version should always be the version linked from the Play Store listing.
